Industrial Programmer / Software Engineer

AVT Europe NV is a young and dynamic company, located in the north of Antwerp (Essen). The company is specialized in industrial automation, customized machine construction and the development of heavy load transport solutions. Projects are developed according to the specific customer’s needs. Going from small, local enterprises to worldwide multinationals. Currently, we are looking for a MOTIVATED SOFTWARE ENGINEER (PLC / Robot)

What will you be doing as an Industrial Programmer / Software Engineer?

Together with the project team you take care of the start-up of the machines in our own workshop and at the customers. You are responsible for all programming work and you carry out small electro-technical adjustments when necessary.

To this we link the following tasks:

  • Programming, starting up and analyzing software in the machine building industry
  • Focus on industrial machines using PLC controls, HMI, robotics and navigation
  • Various projects where you are in contact with different disciplines (networks, pneumatics, controls, etc.) and where you are responsible for the delivery of the machines
  • Varied work in the office and in the field with our various (foreign) customers

What talent do we require?

  • You are punctual and can work in a structured way. Moreover, you are motivated and eager to learn
  • Experience in related sectors (mechanical engineering, technical services,…) is a requirement
  • You can work well independently as well as in a team
  • Knowledge of PLC Siemens is required
  • A driving license B is required
  • Knowledge of Robotics is a plus (KUKA, KAWASAKI, …)
  • Knowledge of English and/or French is a plus
